Resident Artists: Karina Guévin & Cédric Ginart 


  • Karina Guevin is a French-Canadian glass artist known for her playful flashlight sculptures inspired by popular legends and fairy tales.

    Awarded the Prix François-Houdé and several grants, she teaches at prestigious institutions including the Corning Museum of Glass and the Pilchuck Glass School. Her work is exhibited in numerous private and public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

  • Cédric Ginart, initially a biochemistry student, discovered his passion for scientific glassblowing and graduated from the Lycée Dorian in Paris in 1995. Now based in Quebec, he collaborates with various professionals on experimental projects and art installations.

    His work, which includes hand-blown techniques, is exhibited in museums and private collections, and he regularly teaches at the Corning Museum of Glass. He currently works as a scientific glassblower at the Université de Montréal, while pursuing a recognized artistic career.

Exploring Myth & Glass: Where Goats Roam and Tales Endure


Mulranny Arts is delighted to welcome back Karina Guévin, and Cédric Ginart for a two-week residency dedicated to exploring the rich folklore and landscapes of County Mayo.

During their time working in the Mulranny Arts Glass Studio, they will immerse themselves in the region’s ancestral goat population and the mythical tales that have shaped Irish culture for centuries. Inspired by the wild shores and timeless stories of this land, they will delve into its history, drawing creative inspiration from both its breathtaking scenery and enduring legends.
