Have you ever wondered if you could combine encaustics and jewellery? Me too!  I discovered a process that’s so fun, and the results are so beautiful that I can’t wait to share it with you! I take my inspiration from nature and from gemstones like turquoise, lapis and Malecite. I love the variety of colors that swirl through these beautiful stones. I’m also inspired by translucent flower petals and leaves. But, of course, sources of inspiration are all around us and the possibilities are endless!

Class Description

In this class, we’ll transform encaustic techniques into wearable art by creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that echo the luminosity and texture of encaustic paintings!

This class includes:

  • A review of the necessary supplies to create encaustic jewellery.

  • A step-by-step demonstration of the process, exploring different effects and styles.

  • Demonstration of the unique finishing process.

  • Time to create 6 necklaces of your own, including one hand-crafted decorative brass bezel with a unique pattern on the back.

  • Review of the care instructions for encaustic jewellery.

  • Answers to commonly asked questions and best practices for creating encaustic jewellery..

This class is ideal for beginners to experienced encaustic artists. You’ll come away with 6 eye-catching necklaces that reflect your style! The fee covers all of the materials you’ll need, including chains, 5 stainless steel bezels and 1 decorative brass bezel in either a round or teardrop shape. You can purchase more decorative brass bezels separately. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring their favorite encaustic paints, small ceramic tools and small brushes.

If you require accommodation, please contact us.

Class Fee includes Materials and Lunch.
