Class Description

Would you like to find your flow and your own creative voice. It's all inside you already. You just need to find a way to access the source, and enjoy the process without the pressure of perfection. In this class we will work with mixed media both on paper and on stretched canvas. We will work with collage and paint with different techniques and types of media such as acrylic paint, ink and pens. Jenny will share her favourite techniques and processes to help you find your inspiration and let go of your self-criticism. We will learn several techniques to create 'grunge' and to not be too precious about what we create.  Jenny's process is tactile and a little messy and it is all about the beauty of the process! We will learn how to listen to the whispering of our hearts and watch our work expand and grow as we go! Jenny has seen this blossom in her own art and she is looking forward to sharing it with you!

Jenny will paint one of her signature faces on her demo painting but you do not have to paint a face if you do not want to. There will be plenty to learn and explore without painting a face.

List of supplies to bring!

One of the pitfalls when working with mixed media is buying loads of art supplies and then not using them. There are so many fun things to buy and soooo many fantastic colors BUT you can get a long way with a few supplies and few colors. I will show you many tips and tricks on how to express your own voice with few supplies.  I will do some color mixing exercises and how to find your own marks. We will use a lot of scraps and simple tools.

Here is a list of supplies I recommend that you bring and a couple of optional things that we might play with that you can bring if you already have them! I use as little disposables as possible.

Jenny Grant is a Mixed Media Artist living in Stockholm, Sweden. She is on a mission to inspire people to be brave, to use their creativity and to do more of what they love.

Jenny found her unique creative spark and source within herself after many years of pushing it aside. For Jenny, it is all about the process, the doing. To actually get messy and just do. Jenny’s process is very unstructured, tactile and yes, quite messy! Through that, she open up the magic of what is unique within her.

Jenny is traveling running workshops and retreats both in Europe, Australia, USA and online and her creative process and approach has helped the creativity blossom in thousands of her students.
