Class Description
Introduction to Glass Casting with Fiona Byrne. Over this two and a half day workshop we will explore the technique of open fase glass casting. This is a great first step if you are interesting in casting with glass. We will cover the basics of mould making, measuring your glass and firing your work. We will use clay to create forms, from these will create our refractory moulds. These are then 'packed' with glass and fired to shape the glass. We will walk through the process from idea to creation, with demonstrations and explanations along the way. It will be a fun and creative few days to discover the magic of mould making for glass! Complete beginners welcome.
We offer comfortable on-site accommodation for those travelling to attend the workshop. Get in touch via our Contact Page for rates and availability.
Class Fee includes Materials and Lunch.
