Studio Safety Rules

1. Participants are prohibited from loading, unloading or operating the kilns and glass furnaces. 2. Long hair must be tied back. 3. Avoid wearing clothing or jewelry that dangles. 4. Wear loose-fitting, natural-fibre clothing (e.g., 100% cotton). 5. Open-toed or open-heeled footwear (e.g., sandals, flip-flops, or clogs) is prohibited in the studio. 6. Do not use any equipment without an instructor present. 7. The glass-blowing studio can become very hot. Please arrive well-hydrated and ensure you remain hydrated throughout your time in the studio. 8. Participants are expected to use handrails at all times when using the Stairs.

Liability Release & Indemnity

I agree that Mulranny Arts, its employees, directors, officers, volunteers, members, instructors, students, and other participants (hereinafter referred to as “the Released Parties”) shall not be liable for any injury to me (including permanent injury or death) or damage to my property during my participation in activities organised by Mulranny Arts. This includes any injury or damage resulting from acts or omissions by the Released Parties, including negligence (except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct), whether during activities or en route to and from events. I understand and agree to participate voluntarily and at my own risk. I release and indemnify the Released Parties from any claims, demands, or legal proceedings related to any injury or damage to myself or my property during these activities. I agree to indemnify the Released Parties for any sums they may be required to pay as compensation on my behalf due to my participation. I understand that the instructor has the right to terminate any session at any time if they deem it unsafe or if a participant’s behaviour poses a risk to others.

I fully understand the above statement, agree to release the Released Parties from liability, and waive any legal claims under Irish law that would limit or negate this release.

Assumption of Risk, Release, and Waiver of Liability

I understand that Mulranny Arts has taken reasonable steps to minimise risks of infectious disease transmission, including COVID-19. However, I acknowledge that participation in activities carries inherent risks, including possible exposure to COVID-19 or other illnesses, which cannot be completely eliminated. I accept these risks voluntarily and agree that Mulranny Arts is not liable if I contract any illness during participation in its activities. I agree to refrain from participating if I am feeling unwell or have symptoms of illness.

I have read and understood this agreement and enter into it voluntarily, knowing it limits my legal rights under Irish law.

Film and Photography Consent *

I hereby grant Mulranny Arts CLG the right to use the photograph(s) and/ or video footage, taken during the course of this workshop/class/event, and any reproductions or adaptations thereof, for all general purposes including, without limitation, the right to use them for TV, promotional films, online and in any publicity materials, books, newspapers, magazine articles and social media marketing whenever Mulranny Arts chooses to do so.
