Class Description
Padraig has been teaching this popular workshop at Mulranny Arts for several years, and it continues to receive consistently high praise from participants. Mulranny Arts is delighted to welcome him back again to deliver this much-loved course. The workshop uses the landscape and coastline around Mulranny and the Curraun Peninsula as its primary source of inspiration, combining daily talks and demonstrations with painting and sketching on location (weather permitting), as well as indoor studio-based work to develop and complete paintings. Throughout the workshop, key elements such as composition and perspective, colour and movement, and their role in successful landscape and coastal painting will be explored.

It’s the west of Ireland landscapes in particular that I’m drawn to. To me they are what Ireland is all about, and there is an energy and a sense of timelessness in them that I try to get across in my paintings
