Class Description

Be a part of the journey as an exciting new adventure takes off for Mulranny Arts. This year we are opening a state-of-the-art metal studio and we invite you to join us for the first metalsmithing class in this new facility.

Everyone is welcome whether it’s your very first time at the silversmith bench or you are building on your previous experiences. If you are creative, love making jewellery and have always wanted to design something using silver, brass or copper then this course could be the perfect gift to yourself or a loved one.

Led by Rachel Mathews-McKay, a Dublin based Craftivist and Metalsmith artist, she will be covering the foundations of cutting (piercing), shaping, soldering and adding texture to silver and alloy metals. Turn a flat piece of metal into a wearable work of art.

Who is this class for?

Perfect for beginners, with space for more confident ‘smiths to stretch into advanced techniques.

Ideal for curious beginners, creative risk-takers, and anyone who wants to make meaningful jewellery with their own hands.

If you require accommodation, please contact us.

Class Fee includes Materials and Lunch
