A 2 Day Workshop

Saturday and Sunday, 26th & 27th April 2025

Embark on a transformative artistic journey with the "Embodied Landscape" workshop, a captivating exploration of mark-making and gestures as a creative practice. Drawing inspiration from the coastal beauty of County Mayo, participants will engage with the natural forces and rugged elements of the surroundings.

Led by Isabelle Gaborit, daily sketching and drawing practices will lay the foundation for translating the essence of the environment into unique encaustic paintings. The studio experience will witness the alchemical transmutation of emotional responses into tangible works of art, guided by various encaustic techniques and geological inspiration. Suitable for all skill levels, this immersive workshop offers a comprehensive learning experience, encouraging creative growth through a profound dialogue between artist and environment.

Explore safety, ventilation, temperature control, and equipment usage, along with various encaustic techniques, textures, and mark-making methods over the two-day class. Let the landscape become your teacher, and your creations a testament to the captivating dialogue between art and nature.
