Workshop Overview

Join renowned fused glass artist Amy Light for a vibrant and inspiring three-day workshop exploring colour, light and form through kiln-formed glass. In this hands-on class, participants will design and create their own Sunburst Light Catcher — a luminous, sculptural piece designed to catch and scatter sunlight.

This is an intermediate-level class, though beginners are very welcome. Amy will provide clear guidance and demonstrations throughout, with time built in for those new to glass cutting to practice and gain confidence.

Drawing on Amy’s distinctive approach to colour and composition, students will learn how to use layered glass, stringers, rods, frit channels, and texture to create a balanced and radiant finished work. Each piece will be fired, finished, and mounted on a metal stand, ready to display
