Class Description

Join internationally respected surface artists Sandra Gonzales and Audra Lynch for an immersive 3-day workshop exploring the art of decorative surface finishes, texture, colour and contemporary architectural treatments.

Travelling from the United States to teach at Mulranny Arts, Sandra and Audra bring decades of experience in decorative arts, architectural finishes and creative education. Their workshops are known for combining high-level technical instruction with an inspiring, welcoming and deeply creative atmosphere.

Designed for creatives, artists, interior enthusiasts and professionals alike, this hands-on workshop blends artistic expression with practical application. Throughout the three days, participants will experiment with a range of specialist finishes including lime-based plasters, decorative glazes, micro-cement applications, aggregate textures and floor staining techniques.

Working in a supportive studio environment with live demonstrations and guided instruction, participants will create a professional portfolio of six large-format sample boards while developing confidence in layering, texture, movement and finish application.

This workshop is ideal for beginners wishing to explore decorative finishes for the first time, as well as artists, designers and makers looking to expand their creative practice and technical skills.

Over the course of the workshop participants will:
• Learn decorative plaster and surface finishing techniques
• Explore colour, layering and texture application
• Experiment with lime-based plasters, glazes and micro-cement
• Create six professional sample boards to take home
• Gain practical knowledge suitable for creative or professional use
• Receive expert tuition, demonstrations and guided support throughout
