What is Enamelling?
Enamelling is the process of fusing powdered glass to metal using high heat. With a rich history spanning over 2,000 years, it’s been used to create everything from Byzantine icons to Art Nouveau jewellery. The technique involves layering colourful glass powders onto copper, then firing them in a kiln — where they melt, fuse, and transform into luminous, glassy surfaces. It’s a magical blend of fire, color, and alchemy.
